Report on the Conference 2014 by James Heywood

Over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend, the High Leigh Conference Centre resounded again and again to the best news ever heard in the world: “Christ is risen from the dead, trampling down death by death; and to those in the tombs he has given life!” The annual Deanery Conference brought together a wonderfully diverse crowd of Orthodox Christians from all over the country and from abroad, and the choir, made up of singers from many parishes under Anne-Marie de Visser’s direction, sang the Paschal troparion and the other Paschal hymns with extra gusto, knowing that it was the last weekend when they would sing them for another year.

Conference / Festival 2014 update

It is with great regret that I must inform you that Archbishop Job will not be able to attend the Conference/Festival 2014, because he has been required to accompany the Patriarch to Jerusalem.
There will therefore be no Liturgy on Monday and some adjustment to the programme will be made.

DEANERY CONFERENCE 2012

Over 120 participants gathered at the High Leigh Conference Centre in Hertfordshire on the weekend of 25th - 28th May 2012.

We were blessed by having Archbishop Gabriel with us for the whole of the conference, and by the wonderful summer sunshine. Although some were sorry to have to abandon our previous conference venue, High Leigh provided an excellent centre, with beautiful grounds and excellent catering.
