Deanery Summer Camp 2010

 

As in previous years, the annual children’s summer  camp took place in Crickhowell, Wales.  A total of 36 children from the parishes and communities of the Deanery, together with about 15 helpers spent a wonderful two weeks under canvas on the beautiful site we have been privileged to use for the past nine years.

The Patronal Festival of the parish of St Peter and St Paul, Clapham, London

Seven years ago the late Metropolitan Anthony (Bloom) blessed the establishment of this community in South London around Father Alexander Fostiropoulos, which became the parish of St Peter and St Paul in 2006. Currently worshipping in Clapham in an Anglican church, a building of a pure Victorian style, the parish celebrated its Patronal Festival this year during the weekend of 26th to 27th of June 2010.

Visit of Archbishop Gabriel of Comana to the Parish of the Holy Prophet Elias in Devon

On Sunday 20 June 2010 Archbishop Gabriel celebrated the Divine Liturgy in St Anne’s Church in Exeter.  He was assisted by the  Archpriest John (Marks), Fr Nikanor (Wilkins), Fr Matthew (Arnold) and Protodeacon Peter (Scorer).

The annual Summer Camp in Wales for children and young people aged 9 - 16 from the Deanery will once again be held in Dyffryn Ganol, Crickhowell, Wales.

Once again the Deanery Conference was held at All Saints’ Pastoral Centre, London Colney. There were approximately 90 participants. Appropriately, in view of our recent traumas and upheavals, this year’s theme was: Healing and Transformation in Christ : From Darkness to Light.
