We exist to love and worship God and joyfully to do His will for us, and for each other, in all situations, as revealed in Christ and in ongoing Tradition. The heart of the Christian Gospel is nothing less than this - that God entered His Creation for love of all His creatures, and became Man so that we may live in Him. In the words of St Athanasius, 'He was made man that we might be made divine' (De Incarnatione, 54,3).
