Deanery

The funeral of Archbishop Gabriel will take place on Saturday 2 November 2013. It will commence with the celebration of a pontifical Divine Liturgy at 8.00 am, in the St Alexander Nevsky Cathedral.

The coffin of our dearly beloved Archbishop Gabriel will arrive at the St Alexander Nevsky Cathedral on Wednesday 30 October between 3.00 and 4.00 pm. Upon its arrival, a panikhida will immediately be celebrated.

Archbishop Gabriel of Comana fell asleep in the Lord just after midnight in the early hours of this morning Saturday 26 October.

Here are some words he addressed to us at Paskha 2012.

Following the visit to the Patriarchate by a delegation of the Council, this is the procedure which we will follow at our Extraordinary General Assembly on Thursday 31 October (evening) and
Friday 1 November 2013.

On 27 August a delegation from the Archdiocesan Council led by His Eminence Metropolitan Emmanuel of France, and consisting of the Fathers Jean Gueit, Vice President of the  Archdiocesan Council, Fr Alexander  Fostiropoulos, Michel Sollogoub, Sectretary of the Council and Serge Runge, visited the see of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Istanbul where it was received by the Commission for Inter-Orthodox Affairs and subsequently by His Holiness Patriarch Bartholemew.

Communiqué of the Diocesan Administration on the meeting of the Archdiocesan Council of July 31, 2013
The Archdiocesan Council met on Wednesday, 31 July, 2013 under the chairmanship of His Eminence Metropolitan Emmanuel. Among the issues discussed:

1. His Eminence Metropolitan Emmanuel reported on his recent trip to Russia and Ukraine, where he was invited to head the delegation of the Ecumenical Patriarchate to the celebration of the 1025th anniversary of the Baptism of the "Russ".

Conference in Memory of Metropolitan Anthony of Sourozh on the 10th anniversary of his death.
